STEP ONE: KEY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SUMMER CAMP
1.1 - INTRODUCING THE TOURPARTY SUMMER SKI DAY CAMP
 Offering top quality coaching and instruction, fun and friendship, the Tourparty international holidays and Summer Camps have been designed to suit everyone - individuals of all ages from 12+ years (youth and adults), groups of friends and families - from anywhere in the world who are looking for something a bit different to the normal Summer holidays taken with their friends, family, club, college or school.
The common language on our holidays and camps is English but you only need basic English to participate and people of all nationalities are welcome to attend.
We run our multi-activity, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding Summer holidays and Camps at the same time in the same location so you can come with your friends and family and have a great holiday together on and off the mountain, while getting top quality coaching in your favourite sport.
 No question this will be a brilliant week of 6 days of Summer skiing in Les Deux Alpes, France - on a fantastic glacier, with some great runs and a world renowned snow park, lots of other activities (mountain biking, golf, go karting, climbing, walking, swimming, tennis etc), plenty of new friends, expert coaches and instructors, a big choice of bars, restaurants and clubs... adding up to one great value holiday and skiing holiday in the mountains - don't miss out - places are limited!

Each Summer Camp lasts 6 days - normally participants arrive in resort on the Saturday and stay until the following Saturday. if you want to do two or more weeks on any particular Camp, or even to mix up attending a Mountain Biking and/or Snowboarding Camp, that's easy - just book the weeks you want on the different Camps and we will take care of the rest!

1.2 - WHAT'S INCLUDED
We offer a week-long non-residential ski Summer Camp for adults and young people.
This includes ALL the following:

- 6 day fully supervised Summer Camp programme in Les Deux Alpes, from Sunday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.30pm (times may vary);
- Welcome Meeting on the Saturday evening;
- High quality professional coaching in freestyle skiing techniques;
- Packed lunch;
- Afternoon activities (from golf to trampolining, from archery to luge, from swimming to ice skating);
- Video feedback and review;
- Optional evening social events (some evenings);
- Souvenir photographs;
- Camp T-shirt;
- Prize Giving Party at the end of the Camp.
The following are not included:
- Accommodation (our Camps are non-residential);
- Travel to and from the resort at the start and end of your holiday;
- Breakfast and dinner;
 6 day Lift pass;- Equipment - you will need an approved snowsports helmet (compulsory for all), skis (ideally twin tip), ski boots and suitable clothing etc;
- Extra optional activities like Mountain Biking (we may offer this for skiers and snowboarders one afternoon but there will be additional costs associated with this event of 20-45 Euros for equipment hire etc);
- Insurance - you must have full and appropriate mountain travel/health insurance cover in the event of an accident/emergency (including the possibility you may be evacuated by helicopter in the event of a serious accident) and you may wish to extend this to include compensation in the event of injury or death - snowsports is a dangerous sport and the decision to participate (accepting this risk) is your responsibility... Tourparty cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury or death.

1.3 - AGE
We are happy to welcome anyone aged 12 and over on the Summer Camp and younger participants under 12 years may attend depending on the circumstances - please email us. Our oldest participant so far was in his 50s!
SUPERVISION OF UNDER 18s
We have been welcoming boys and girls aged under 18 years to our residential and non-residential Camps since 1999. We love working with young people who always bring vitality, enthusiasm and a great sense of fun to the Camps.
 However for our non-residential Camps we do not offer care outside of the daily Camp programme for any participants, although we do offer some option social events on some evenings to which all Campers are invited, such as bowling, ice skating, pool tournaments etc.
It is therefore essential that all young people under 18 years attending the Tourparty Day Summer Camps are properly supervised by a responsible adult when not attending the Camp.
This is not only to ensure that young people are safe, well and eating and sleeping properly to make the very best of their time on the Camp, but also to ensure a responsible adult (guardian) is available in the event that the young person is injured (once our own staff and Les Deux Alpes resort emergency services have dealt with any particular situation).
TOURPARTY GUARDIAN SERVICE
As stated it is a prerequisite that all those aged Under 18 years participating in the Summer Day Camps this year have a responsible adult available in resort to act as guardian.
However in response to a number of requests for options for young people aged under 18 years who want to join the Tourparty Camps this year but are having problems finding a responsible adult to accompany them we have decided to offer a Guardian/Counseling Service as an optional extra.
This will work in a similar way to the many residential Camps we have run since 1999 with a member of our staff available to act as guardian for those aged 12-17 years.

1.4 - SKIING EXPERIENCE & LEVEL
You need to be a competent skier - unfortunately we cannot accept any beginners on the Summer Camps, sorry!
The majority of the ski coaching at Summer Camp is in freestyle techniques (see below) which will not only help you dominate the Snow Park next season but also improve your all-terrain skiing and improve your confidence... so you need to be a confident parallel skier who is happy to ski red runs etc in the Winter.

1.5 - SKI COACHING
With 6 days of expert instruction, the Summer Camp is a fantastic opportunity to learn freestyle skiing from expert freestyle Pro Skiers and Coaches. Whether you are new to freestyle skiing and the snow park and features like jumps, rails, boxes and the half-pipe, or you are already a highly experienced newschool skier, we offer expert freestyle skiing coaching and the chance to make friends with other freestylers of all ages who share your passion.
 One of the highest ski resorts in Europe, thanks to its extensive glacier and a high proportion of runs above 2100m (the highest lift is at 3568m), Les Deux Alpes is "snowsure" even in mid-Summer. Other glaciers that offer Summer skiing just don't compare. The fun park on the glacier in L2A is even bigger in the Summer than in the Winter, you will not be disappointed!
Once past the queues it takes less than 30 minutes for the Jandri Express to take us from resort to the glacier with its 110 hectares of skiing with 10 green and blue pistes for cruising and 1 red piste plus the “Soreiller” Snowpark commonly described as "THE European sine qua non of summer snowparks"! There are three zones in the snowpark served by 2 mechanical lifts, plus 2 halfpipes and a chillout area with deck chairs, turntables and BBQ under the Alpine sun… don't forget your suncream!
The skiing and snowboarding over the Summer in 2008 was excellent, it even snowed! With bluebird skies and the chance to ride from early morning to lunch time it it is hard to beat. Quite honestly we can't say much more than that! It is our first choice resort for Summer Skiing, some reckon it's the best in the world!
To reflect the quality of the resort we have carefully selected our team of Coaches based on our personal knowledge of Pro riders and instructors in the UK and abroad developed over many years in the snowsports industry, and based on recommendations from people we respect.
 Our Coaches share your passion for skiing and they love to help others learn. They also have loads of personal experience and stories from their time as Pro riders, instructors, guides, ski reps, competition organisers, judges, ski technicians etc etc.
On our holidays we provide as much assistance and encouragement to everyone participating as possible, with friendly, patient Coaches keen to see you gain in confidence, technique and ability as quickly (and painlessly!) as possible while having lots of fun and enjoying your time in the mountains. By the end of the week you should be hugely satisfied at your progress and achievement, and we will be too!
Over the week, assuming good weather conditions, you will spend all morning... every morning... on the pistes and in the snow fun park skiing on the Les Deux Alpes Glacier... the biggest, best glacier and fun park in Europe... until it begins to turn too slushy in the Summer sun... then we head back down the mountain to practice on trampolines and to review the video tapes and have a relaxing afternoon and evening doing multi-activities and waiting for the next morning and the chance to get back up the mountain!
All day... every day... you will be accompanied by a Coach ready to give you tips, encourage you, push you and occasionally help you up, or dig you out!
 VIDEO REVIEW
Our Coaches find video review very helpful in explaining how to perform a trick successfully. (It's also great fun seeing yourself and other members of the group in action when you get back down the mountain!) At the end of each day there will be a meeting for all Campers to review video footage of the morning's session on the glacier.
SOUVENIR PHOTOGRAPHS
On all Tourparty Ski Holidays and Skiing Camps we have someone filming for video review and photographing for souvenir pictures etc. In the past we have been lucky to have professional photographers like Rick Hutchings (www.rickhutchings.com) along to take some shots of everyone.
PRIZE GIVING
At the end of the week we hold a prize giving session to recognise the good, the bad and the downright ugly (skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking that is!) over the week of Tourparty.
So whether you're the most improved skier on this awesome Summer Skiing Holiday and Camp, or the person who did the biggest slam, you stand a chance of going home with some swag in your bag!

1.6 - MULTI-ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME
 Off the glacier down in the L2A resort there is a huge range of facilities and activities for you to try with your new friends in the afternoons and evening, all included except for optional afternoon of Mountain Biking (for skiers and snowboarders).
Once down from the mountain you can kill time waiting to get back on snow the next day by trying your hand at everything from swimming and ice skating to mini-golf and trampolining, to tennis and beach volleyball, football, bowling and biking etc etc! Your Coaches will be on hand all the time to ensure you have fun. We challenge you and your fellow Campers to take on the Coaches at anything... you haven't got a chance! ;-)

1.7 - COMING ON YOUR OWN, WITH FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY
 Come on your own or come with friends and/or family! It doesn't matter as we promise you will have a great time and make new friends quickly with the other people on the Camp and the Coaching staff. Within hours it will feel like you have known everyone forever - our Camps are super friendly!
Making new friends with Coaches and other participants is easy on a Tourparty Ski Camp and most people stay in touch afterwards to plan their next Camp!
All the Summer Camps take place at the same time in the same location... so you can come on holiday with friends or family, whether they are also doing skiing with you or they decide to do snowboarding or mountain biking.
 Or if you come out to Les Deux Alpes on holiday with your friends or family but they don't want to come on the Camp that's okay too - there is plenty for them to do in the resort during the day while you are on the Camp... or they can just relax and enjoy the sun!
Coming on your own? Great! This is the ideal singles ski holiday, in less than a day everyone knows everyone on a Tourparty holiday and people often stay in touch long after the trip - making new friends with Coaches and other participants is easy on a Tourparty Ski Camp!
We welcome group bookings too - get in touch if you are thinking of booking with a large group of friends, family or others from the same School, Club etc.

IF YOU ATTEND WITH FRIENDS CAN YOU SKI WITH THEM, EVEN IF SOME ARE "ADULTS" AND SOME ARE "YOUTH"?
Friends or families of different ages wanting to ride together during the Summer Camp are very welcome.
It does not matter if you are in different age categories (Adult and Youth), you can still ride each day together - assuming you are of similar ability and fitness.
We are very flexible. If you come on your own (as at least 50% of skiers do) we guarantee you will make loads of new friends in no time; if you come with people you know we will make sure you get to spend plenty of time together on and off the mountain. Either way we will do whatever it takes to help you have a great holiday, take your skiing to the next level and have lots of fun!

CAN FAMILY / FRIENDS WATCH?
Parents, family and friends are welcome to watch you on the pistes and in the park if they ski or snowboard and buy lift passes, alternatively they can see you participating in other activities off mountain in resort.

1.8 - WHAT MAKES A TOURPARTY SKIING SUMMER HOLIDAY SO DIFFERENT?
 The Tourparty Summer Skiing Camp has grown out of our own frustration as skiers with the normal package holidays and school ski trips... and the long Summer holidays spent hanging around at home killing time and looking forward to Winter!
Now you can spend a week in the best park on the best glacier with the best coaches in Europe this Summer... progressing your skiing on the pistes and/or perfecting your skiing, learning how to grind rails, hit kickers and ski through the half-pipe in one piece!

STEP TWO: BOOKING INFORMATION
 2.1 - PRICES
The price for attending the 6 day non-residential Tourparty Ski Summer Camp is:
- For new participants attending a Tourparty Camp for the first time: £295 GB Sterling (315 Euro, $430 USD)
- For participants who have attended a Tourparty Camp before ("Returners"): £275 GB Sterling (295 Euro, $400 USD)
You are welcome to attend for more than one week, whether doing skiing for the whole time you are on Summer holiday or spending one week skiing, and the other week snowboarding or mountain biking.
- The price for those attending for two weeks will be £275 per week = £550 GB Sterling (590 Euro, $800 USD).
 (We welcome bookings from all over the world. We require payment in GB Sterling and for this reason we charge credit and debit cards etc and request bank transfers and cheques (checks) in the GB Sterling price of the holiday. However to help international participants with pricing we have also given prices in Euro and US Dollars where possible (calculated according to the exchange rate on 19 March 2009). These alternative currency prices are a guide only, the exchange rate may differ when you book.)

2.2 - BOOKING TERMS

By booking places on the Tourparty Summer 2009 Ski Camps you agree to these conditions which include:
 The Tourparty Summer Skiing Holiday & Camp 2009 is open to boys and girls, men and women aged 12+ years from any country. The main language for coaching during the Camp is English.- Before travel you must hold a valid passport and, if not an EU national, have the necessary visa to enter France (if one is required). We cannot accept responsibility for the costs arising if permission to travel is refused due to lack of necessary documentation.
- We regret we cannot reserve places without a completed booking form and deposit/payment. In the event of your cancellation after 1 June 2009 a £150 (160 Euro, $220 USD) cancellation fee will be retained to cover administration and cancellation costs, the remainder will be refunded in full.
- Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We cannot accept any more participants once these places have been fully allocated.
- All those participating must wear an approved snowsports helmet and have full medical/travel insurance.
- We reserve the right to change any aspect of the Summer Camp without warning, provided it does not change the nature and spirit of the holiday.
- In the unlikely event we are forced to do so, we reserve the right to cancel the Camp; in such circumstances we will give as much notice as possible and a full refund on or before the start date of the Camp. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred because of cancellation (whether to do with your travel, accommodation, lift pass etc) and recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover this eventuality or alternatively you will be able to join another Camp or Ski School in resort.
